The air is unusually warm for this time of year. It’s as if a perfect northeastern summer evening made its way down the coast and landed in my back yard. I drive on 836 West with the windows down listening to 102.7. Reminiscing on a memory brought back by the chorus of the little tune they are playing, Its then I realize that my skyline has changed. Where there was once a vast open vista to the port of big ships everywhere, there is now a city skyline. There is change and there, is change. The air feels different, the immense amount of rain we’ve had has washed the skies and the night is perfect. The air is mild and although I know its coming there is no impending storm looming, my north, south, east and west are clear. The city lights are on and as I near the end of my downtown I realize that there, someone has projected their likeness on the side of a building. About 20 stories of their likeness. I wonder who it is just as I look up at the billboard of Cubavera. About 3 miles up ahead the busiest international airport hums with life and a train passes by fast and loud clacking their open containers, the sign on my right says Key West 160 Miles. I smile because I’m exactly where I want to be…
